Student Eligibility for an Industrial Internship (Technology Track)
To be eligible for receiving one of the Technology internships, you should meet the following eligibility criteria:
Industrial Internship (Technology Track)
To be eligible to receive one of the internships, you should meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident (Green card holder)
- Must be enrolled in the Work Experience (WE) course in “Aircraft Maintenance”, “Industrial Design Engineering", "Manufacturing Technology”, or “Electronics and Computer Networking Technology” within Technology and Health Division at Mt. SAC
- Be in good academic standing
- Have completed at least 1/3 of the units required of your academic program, or, have satisfactorily completed or currently enrolled in a SAM C level course (a work experience specialist can verify this)
- Must have a minimum of 75 hours per term (for 1 unit) or 150 hour per term (for 2 units) available for the internship program
- Complete all pre-requisite courses required of your program
- Submit an application to the program
In addition to the above criteria, we will consider students’ character, overall academic performance, motivation, and commitment as best as possible through a personal interview with each applicant. Personal interviews with finalists may be conducted prior to selection into the program.
