Academic Technology & Infrastructure
The ATI Group provides end-user technical support through the Help Desk, for the Campus’ academic computing and desktop computers. Additionally the campus switchboard is part of the ATI Group. We also provide consulting services to the campus community to assist with defining and purchasing technology to meet their needs.
The Help Desk acts as the campus community’s single point of contact for the resolution of technical problems.
Network Administration is another major growth area on campus. This group is responsible for server maintenance as well as network security and integrity. Support of Academic Technology is also a major part of this team’s responsibility.
The Desktop Support team is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise desktop computer systems and their peripherals. ATI’s Desktop Support team strives to provide friendly support for all district owned technology systems including client/server networks, digital imaging systems, desktop computers, and voice/data communications systems.
The Telecommunications team is responsible for designing and implementing the physical aspect of the campus communication infrastructure. Telecommunications at Mt. SAC consists of multiple components: voice, video, and data networks are the primary components. There are several related services that the ATI group also support such as the connections from our internal infrastructure to national and international telecommunications networks.
