César Tlatoāni Alvarado, Student Trustee

César Tlatoāni Alvarado is the Student Trustee for the 2023-2024 academic year. César is a political science and world languages major. He plans to transfer to either UCLA, UC San Diego, or UC Davis. After getting his bachelor’s degree, he intends to earn his Phd in comparative politics. He wants to work in politics, activism, and advocacy.
César is a student leader in Political Science and LGBTQIA+ Clubs. He is a member of the Minority Male Initiative (MMI), Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA), Native American Intertribal Student Alliance (NAISA), and Environmental Action Group for a Livable Earth (EAGLE). He is a member of the College’s Forensics/Speech and Debate team being a national bronze medalist.
César is a member of Indigenous, Mexican-American, LGBTQIA+, and Neurodivergent communities that is a first-generation college student.
César resides in Hacienda Heights but was raised in the city of Paramount. His hobbies include staying active, learning languages, dancing, gardening, painting, playing with his dog Zoë, and spending time with his friends and chosen family.
César is very humbled to take on the role of student trustee. As a member of many marginalized communities, he is dedicated to uplifting and empowering the voices of all students. His tenure will focus on equity, transparency, and accountability. Not only for himself but also for the Board of Trustees and the College as a whole. He looks forward to listening to student input improving the college that meets the needs of all students.
