Welcome from CDC Director
Welcome to the Mt San Antonio College Child Development Center! We are excited and privileged you have chosen to partner with our program during this early education journey! The Center is a department within the Business Division. Full and part day quality early care and education services for the children of college students, staff, and the community at-large are provided on campus throughout the year.
As you read further you will find our philosophy is focused on inclusion and mutual respect which provides a foundation for meeting individual needs through developmentally appropriate materials and activities. In addition to a curriculum tailored to provide experiences in all areas of development, the Center strives to create a positive social environment where peaceful problem solving is encouraged, modeled and supported.
We also warmly welcome and invite all parents to participate in the classrooms! Involving you in this educational journey early strengthens the important parents, teacher, and child partnership. The CDC has an open door policy, so when you get the notion to observe your child’s classroom you may also do so at will! Please know that as families and teachers work positively together, your child’s readiness for current and future school success is enhanced.
California has long been a leader in recognizing the value of quality child care and development programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and pre kindergarteners. The Mt. San Antonio College Child Development Center strives to provide a program that embraces the core values of the Campus and surpasses the quality standards outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the California Department of Education, Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP), and The California Preschool Learning Education Foundation and Frameworks.
