Welcome

Mt. SAC’s Welding Program is a comprehensive education and training program designed to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain employment in a variety of industries related to Welding and Fabrication. Mt. SAC Welding students are currently working in construction, aerospace, lighting, and automotive aftermarket industries.

Most Welding classes at Mt. SAC Welding feature 1 hour of lecture time to discuss safety and proper set-up and operation of welding processes and equipment. The remainder of class time, either 3 hours or 6 hours is dedicated to hands-on laboratory exercises. We have classes for every skill level. Please read our course descriptions for explanations of the classes we offer. The majority of our welding classes do not have course prerequisites so students can enroll for courses that meet their interests or needs.  

Mt. SAC Welding offers an A.S. degree in Welding, as well as four academic certificates of completion in Welding. Mt. San Antonio College Welding is a licensed testing facility for the Los Angeles City Department of Building and Safety. We offer certification for Structural Steel - Manual and Semi-Automatic, per AWS D1.1 as well as Light Gage Steel, per AWS D1.3.
