About the Vet Technician Program
The veterinary technician is an important part of the veterinary health care or biomedical team. Veterinary technicians must be educated in the care and handling of all species of animals, the basic principles of normal and abnormal life processes and in laboratory and clinical procedures. All veterinary technicians work under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
The Registered Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Mission Statement
The mission of Mt. San Antonio College's Registered Veterinary Technology Program is to welcome all students and to support them in achieving their personal, educational, and career goals in an environment of academic excellence.
Our objective is to train proficient Veterinary Technicians in an educational program with the skills and concepts consistent with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Mt. San Antonio College accomplishes this by offering the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience with both large and small animals. The college supports a working 150 acre farm and a state-of-the-art Veterinary Medical Facility.
