About Faculty Toolkits
The Faculty and Advising Toolkits websites were created using funds from the Title V HSI grant: Building Pathways of Persistence and Completion based on an idea conceived by Dr. Audrey Yamagata-Noji, Vice President of Students Services. This project is a collaboration between Student Services, Instruction, and Information Technology.
The Faculty Toolkits Website is an online repository that fosters conversations on pedagogy across disciplines. Mt. Sac Faculty are able to share effective teaching strategies with each other. Because all toolkits are made by Mt. SAC employees access to the toolkit author is available to connect with for further assistance and guidance.
The Advising Toolkits Website is an online repository of important student services information that faculty can share directly with students to embellish the guidance functions. These toolkits allow faculty to get information to students immediately and concisely or in other words just-in-time. Examples of Advising Toolkit topics are educational planning, financial aid, and transfer.
