Lead time & Deadlines
We will only accept projects provided to us with adequate lead time. We strive to
produce quality work that benefits student's experience. Due to class schedules, students
in Studio13 are limited to working 10 hours per week and quality takes time.
We need as much lead time as you can provide us. If you don't have all of the content
ready, please let us know about your project, and when you will provide the content.
We only accept projects that provide students adequate time to develop quality work,
which requires time and revision.
Rushing the creative process can lead to substandard designs, as it leaves little
time for research and exploration. Please try to submit projects with a one month
lead time from when you need to review the design work, as students are actively working
on multiple projects at any given time and we need to try to fit your project into
our production schedule. Certain projects require approval from marketing, which can
lead to a lengthy review process, so please take this into account.
If you have marketing needs on short deadlines, consider hiring one of our students
for a semester.

Periods of operation
Our students sign up for a work experience course primarily during the Fall and Spring
semesters. We take project requests at all times, but only accept projects when staff
is available and it fits within our timeline.
Content
You are responsible for the content in your marketing materials. Please have your
content ready and review it for accuracy prior to submitting a request. Student time
is limited in the studio, which can make finding time for continuous edits difficult.
If your content is not ready, please make your request at a later time.
Project maintenance
If you have a project that requires future edits and maintenance, we can still work
with you, but we can not guarantee edits to your items in a timely fashion. Please
indicate the frequency and amount of revisions you would need on a regular basis.
If it s a project that requires extensive edits in an ongoing basis, we can provide
you brief training and check out a laptop to you with the software necessary to make
the edits.
committees
We will work with committees as long as one person is in charge of the decision making
and providing direction. It's important to understand your problem as a group so that
we can develop an accurate design brief and we have a smooth process. We will not
work with committees that ask for constant revisions through multiple individuals.
Please make sure everyone is on the same page and your content and ideas are ready
prior to submitting a request.
Project issues
The studio is program focused on providing students the opportunity to get experience
producing real world projects. We are aware that issues may arise with any given project.
Keep in mind that our students are learning and developing their skills while they
work on your project. Our students are also at different skill levels. Please be patient
and understanding while you work with our students. If there are any outstanding issues
after the semester is over, we will try to help you.
