The Exercise Science Wellness Center offers a variety of activities for all fitness
levels. No previous experience is required to attend. We offer individual and group
training activities , weight training machines, cable machines, TRX suspension, Dumbbells,
and Cardiovascular machines to establish a healthy lifestyle.
This course falls under the Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility
Institutional Level Outcome (ILO).
Upon successful completion of the class, students will be able to:
- Learn scientific principles of exercise and physical conditioning, techniques of strength training, and methods appropriate to establishing healthy behavior.
- Build muscle and increase strength, by using weight training machines, cables, TRX suspension, or Dumbbells
- Improve overall cardiovascular health by slowly progressing to different levels of cardiovascular activities like walking, jogging, cycling or attending a Group Fitness Class.
PARKING REGULATIONS:
- Valid parking permits are required. Parking regulations are enforced in all lots 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Permits are valid only in student lots. Violators will be cited.
- DAY-USE Parking Permit: $5 Dispenser available on Bonita Drive, just south of Temple Avenue. Day-use permits are good for the date of purchase only, and they will allow persons to park their vehicles in any student parking lot. Day-use parking permits are not valid in metered parking stalls or pay lots.Metered Parking Spaces are also available throughout the campus (15 min. for $.25).
