Vocational Floral Design Courses

This sequence is offered in the evening only and can be completed in two years. Students completing all three courses will earn a certificate and  will have skills and knowledge to seek jobs in floral design beyond entry-level positions, i.e., first-line supervision and/or management and Floral Designers.   • Floral Design 1

    Instructs on the principles of floral design such as form, style, and composition. It includes designing floral arrangements, wreaths, sprays, baskets, bouquets, wedding flowers, and corsages.

    Provides contemporary floral design theory emphasizing creativity, self-expression, and professional design situations.

    Teaches advanced principles of floral design and florist operations management. It includes designs and operations related to holidays, parties, weddings, and sympathy.
