Policies
Weapons Policy
The possession, carrying and use of weapons, ammunition, or explosives is prohibited on Mt. SAC owned or controlled property. The only exception to this policy is for authorized law enforcement officers or others specifically authorized by Mt. SAC. Failure to comply with the Mt. SAC weapons policy will result in disciplinary and/or criminal action against violators.
Alcohol
Mt. SAC prohibits alcohol by students or employees on College property. Mt. SAC has a zero tolerance policy for students under the age of 21 possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages. The inability to exercise care for one’s own safety or the safety of others due in whole or in part to alcohol consumption is considered a violation of policy. Violation of any other policy while under the influence of alcohol is considered an additional violation.
Controlled Substances
Possession, use, manufacture, sale, distribution, or consumption of illegal and/or dangerous drugs is prohibited and illegal under state and federal laws, and is a violation of College policy. Possession of paraphernalia containing controlled substances, or residue of controlled substances, is prohibited. Violation of any other policy while under the influence of a controlled substance is considered an additional violation. The inability to exercise care for one’s safety or the safety of others due in whole or in part to being under the influence of a controlled substance is considered a violation of policy.
Automated License Plate Recognition Usage and Privacy Policy
Mt. San Antonio College (“Mt. SAC”) uses Automated License Plate Recognition (“ALPR”)
technology, also known as License Plate Recognition technology, for parking enforcement
purposes. ALPR allows for the automated detection of vehicle license plates. ALPR
captures and stores digital data and images of license plates.
Mt. SAC’s Police & Campus Safety Department (“P&CSD”)-Parking Services is responsible
for the enforcement of Mt. SAC’s parking policy, rules, and restrictions. All data
and images gathered by Mt. SAC’s ALPR are for the official use of P&CSD in enforcing
the College’s parking policy, rules, and restrictions.
Skateboard Policy
The use of skateboards, scooters (motorized), and roller skates on College grounds is prohibited. No person shall fail to obey any sign or signal erected to carry out these regulations or any section of the California Vehicle Code. Warnings are given for a first time skateboard, scooter, or roller skate violation. A second violation is enforced with a citation, student discipline, or trespass notice.
