Kaitlyn Yrineo has seven years of experience in serving students in higher education in different capacities. Kaitlyn found her passion for higher education early on in her professional career. After, beginning community college at Fullerton College in 2012 she soon found her way to the EOPS/CARE Program where she began working as a work-study student. As a work-study student for four years she was able to develop the skills needed to support students in their higher educational journey. In 2015 she was hired on as Professional Expert specializing in high school outreach and recruitment, which was the core in the development in igniting her desire as a servant leader and agent of change. In 2016, she began also working with Cal State Fullerton’s Transfer Center specializing in assisting transfer students transition into Cal State Fullerton.
Currently, Kaitlyn has obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Health and Social Welfare which will hold as the underlying foundation in serving those in higher education and in our community and is currently attending the Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University.
At Mt. SAC she serves primarily as the Program Specialist for the EOPS and CARE Program, she sits on the Basic Need Committee (BNC), she supports the CalFresh initiative with hands on assistance alongside the Basic Needs program and has been appointed as the Treasurer for Raices, a Latinx Faculty and Staff Association to support the needs and interests of Latinx employees at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC).
Kaitlyn aspires to pursue her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and continue to serve students in a larger capacity.
