I love to figure things out! And all the more if it involves understanding people. This has led to a life which combines a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and a Ph.D. in Practical Theology with having earned most of my income from computer related fields. I taught Research Methods at Messiah College in Pennsylvania in 1990 - 1991. Since 2002 I have been in institutional research, first at Pasadena Community College, and since 2012 at Mt. SAC. I enjoy crafting ways to convey information to people. I have done a lot with Excel, and most recently with PowerBI. At Mt. SAC I started working with the Perkins grant, and have been working on Student Equity since 2014. I have enjoyed doing deep dives into the experience of students from different backgrounds, and figuring out how to convey the complexity of such analyses in reports to decision makers.
