Physics and Engineering Faculty
Sarah Nichols, Co-Chair
Prof. Nichols joined the Mt. SAC faculty full-time in 2018 after teaching at several area colleges. She is currently the Physics Co-Chair of the department, and is also active with the Academic Senate (faculty organization).
Prof. Nichols earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Stony Brook University in atomic and molecular optics, examining the interaction of small molecules with femtosecond pulsed lasers. She still enjoys adding optics fun facts to as many of her classes as possible. In her spare time she spends time with her family, hiking and camping.
