Christina Cammayo
Christina Cammayo graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutritional Science; completed her Dietetic Internship at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center; and graduated with honors from CSU Fullerton’s Educational Leadership program with a Master’s of Science in Higher Education. Ms. Cammayo is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) experienced in managerial, clinical, public health, consulting, and educational fields of dietetics.
Christina was Adjunct Faculty for the Nutrition and Foods Program at Mt. SAC for over ten years. She also taught nutrition courses at Chaffey College for over ten years and over three years at Cypress College. Christina is experienced in teaching a broad range of college-level courses and lab classes in nutrition, foods, and culinary arts including: consumer and science based nutrition, cultural nutrition, sports nutrition, and culinary cooking classes focusing on heart healthy and vegetarian cuisines. She also served as the Field Experience Coordinator for the capstone courses of the Chaffey College Dietetic Service Supervisor Program.
Throughout educational and teaching experiences, Ms. Cammayo has gained knowledge and proficiency with curriculum development, online teaching, equity and diversity, and student learning outcomes. Moreover, she assisted with the development, data collection, analysis, and evaluation of Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) for the Mt. SAC Nutrition and Foods department.
Christina is excited to embark on her new position at Mt. SAC, as a Professor of Nutrition, and strives to create an inclusive, learning environment to meet the needs of the diverse, multi-cultural campus community.
