As a nationally-ranked community college, Mt. SAC offers students the full college experience without the full college debt. After taking 10 classes with experienced faculty, students will be prepared for entry-level employment within law enforcement.
Quality Coursework
Prepare for a career in law enforcement at Mt. San Antonio College, an accredited community college ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 7 in the country among the Best Vocational and Trade Colleges by Real Work Magazine. The Online Administration of Justice certificate is 30 units (10 courses). Six of these classes are mandated: The Administration of Justice Systems (ADJU 1), Principles and Procedures of the Justice System (ADJU 2), Concepts of Criminal Law (ADJU 3), Legal Aspects of Evidence (ADJU 4), Community Relations (ADJU 5), and Administration of Justice Report Writing (ADJU 68). The remaining four courses may be any Administration of Justice course specified within the Mt. SAC Academic Catalog. Students learn from industry-experienced faculty, and can choose to attend classes at the Mt. SAC campus or conveniently online. Learn more in the Academic Catalog.
Great Career Prospects
Students who complete the coursework are well prepared for entry-level employment opportunities in law enforcement such as peace officers, corrections officers, custodial officers, non-sworn security and investigations, other non-sworn positions in law enforcement, and public service. According to U.S. Department of Labor data, the median salary of law enforcement is $61,000 to $79,000 a year. There are 4,100 projected new jobs in that field each year in California. Affordable Cost
Many students think they can't afford college, but we make college a possibility for everyone. At just $46 a unit, Mt. SAC is 1/5 the cost of CSU schools, 1/10 the cost of UC schools, and 1/30 the cost of private universities. Classes are highly affordable at just $46 a unit.
