Robert Finn


In 2004, Robert Finn graduated from Mt. SAC with an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management.
He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Hospitality Management after transferring to California State Polytechnic University of Pomona.
 
Today, Robert is the Dining Services Director at Pacifica Senior Living Dining Services.
His is responsible for providing quality food and service to residents, ensuring they are happy in their home. Along with overseeing daily meals, Robert is in charge of monthly socials and special holiday parties. He provides the residents and their families with customized care, support, and education.   
 
"Mt. SAC was a huge help for me in deciding what I wanted to do for a career. I have been asked by many people where I received my education. I always tell them about my time at Mt. SAC and always encourage them to look into the Hospitality Program."
Robert's greatest impact at Mt. SAC was his professor, Dr. Al-Malood.
"The mentoring and quality education I received from Dr. Al-Malood prepared me well for my future. Dr. Al-Malood was indeed critical to my success in this industry. His passion and love for this industry motivated many of his students in becoming better people in and out of his classes. This was no different for me and I always try to give my employees the quality time and attention he provided us."

Juliana Kanelos


In 2014, Juliana transferred from Mt. SAC.
She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Hospitality Management after transferring to California State Polytechnic University of Pomona.

Today, Juliana is a Program Analyst for Engineering Documentation Systems, Inc.
She responsible for analyzing data and creating reports based on her findings. 
 
Professor Dr. Al-Malood was Juliana's largest impact while attending Mt. SAC.
"Dr. Al-Malood's strict enforcement of being timely thoroughly impressed me. He was always prepared and well dressed. Furthermore, he was always available for any help needed. A great professor!"
 
What would be Juliana's advice to new students and those interested in the hospitality industry?
"She says, "Continue until you finish."

Israel Kim


B.S.  BusinessLiberty University, Virginia

Israel Kim


In 2009, Israel transferred from Mt. SAC.
He received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business after transferring to Liberty University, Virginia.

Today, Israel is a Commodity Manager for Books Automation.
As a manager, Israel is responsible for overseeing all supply chain activities for Polycold Business in the semiconductor industry.
 
"Mt. SAC enabled me to transfer to a four year university and gave me a great educational foundation."
What would be Israel's advice to new students and those interested in the hospitality industry?
"He says to, "Create a short, mid, and long term goal. Take risks and learn from mistakes. Network and read books related to your field. Build your character."
