CPR and First Aid
Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course covers adult, child and infant choking,
heart attack, stroke, and 1 & 2 rescuer CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)/barrier
devices. The course meets medical related requirements. This class is for anyone wishing
to work in a medical related field (Nurses, CNA’s, Psych Tech, etc.). The course meets
all medical-related requirements.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Correct hand placement for compressions for Adult/child/Infant CPR
- Learn proper use for the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) machine
- How to use barrier devices to avoid cross contamination (face shield, pocket masks and resuscitation bags)
- Learn 1 and 2 Rescuer CPR
Heartsaver CPR AED
The Heartsaver CPR AED course teaches Adult, Child & Infant CPR and Adult & Pediatric
CPR AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). The course meets the requirement for
California State Teaching Credentials and California teachers/coaches. This class
is good for teachers, coaches, fitness club workers, foster parents, and the general
public. Course covers adult, child, infant 1-Rescuer CPR/barrier devices, breathing
emergencies, heart attack and stroke.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Correct hand placement for compressions for Adult/child/Infant CPR
- Learn proper use for the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) machine
- Learn 1 Rescuer CPR
Heartsaver First AID/CPR AED
ADULT & PEDIATRIC (HFA CPR AED)
The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches Adult, Child & Infant CPR and First Aid. It teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. The course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for first aid, Adult, Child, Infant, & AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). This class is good for teachers, coaches, fitness club workers, foster parents, and the general public.

- Effectively treat sprains, open wounds and other first aid situations
- Correct hand placement for compressions for Adult/child/Infant CPR
- Learn how to use an Epi-pen for allergic reactions
