Online Tutoring

Our online tutoring is being conducted through Zoom.

In-Person Tutoring

Visit our tutoring office located in Building 6 Room 108.
Refer to the map above for reference (South Entrance).

Types of Tutoring Services:

one on one
One-On-One Appointment Tutoring:

Students have the opportunity to pair up with an assigned tutor for the duration of the semester for one-on-one tutoring (up to two hours per week/per subject).

drop in
Drop-in Tutoring:

Students have the opportunity to consult with a tutor (as available) for any questions they may have [not to exceed 20 minutes].

group tutoring
Group Appointment Tutoring:

Students have the opportunity to form a group, limited to five,  composed of students taking the same course to meet with an assigned tutor for the duration of the semester for group tutoring (up to two hours per week/per subject).

Writing Assignment Submission:

Students have the opportunity to submit a writing assignment to be reviewed by a tutor.  A tutor will respond to a written assignment submission within 24 hours (via email).

  • MATH: Up to Math 181
  • ENGL: Up to English 1C
  • READ: 80, 90, 100
  • LERN: 48, 49, 81
  • SPCH: 1A
  • PHYS: 2AG, 2BG, 4A
  • CHEM: 10, 40, 50
Please note: Subjects offered will vary by semester.
 
Taking advantage of EOPS/CARE & CalWORKs Online Tutoring is easy.
To register for Online Tutoring, you must:
  • Be an active EOPS, CARE or CalWORKs student
  • Be enrolled in the subject offered (as list above)
