The Cannabis - Level 2 certificate build on the Cannabis - Level 1 certificate and prepares students for advanced level positions in the Cannabis industry. Students are required to complete 6 courses that encompass advanced level Cannabis cultivation techniques, soil science, pest diagnostics, as well as Cannabis facility management as it applies to Cannabis cultivation outcomes. The required courses develop a foundation in cultivation techniques to achieve specific production goals. In addition, students will be able to troubleshoot and diagnose pest issues in a Cannabis cultivation system, as well as managing the abiotic inputs of growing facilities including, lighting, irrigation, and arrangement. This certificate also requires the student to complete work experience course in an approved Cannabis production facility.
