HSR Registration
Steps to get started!
- Step #1: Complete the HSR Program Application (your application will not be processed without this).
- Step #2: If you are a new student and/or don't have a Mt. SAC ID#, complete the School of Continuing Ed (SCE) Application (see below for instructions).
- You will be notified of your class placement as soon as your application is complete.

- Review the program website.
- Academic year students: Watch the orientation video before starting class.
- Summer session students: Participate in a counselor-led orientation in June (Zoom link and dates will be emailed to you).
Step 1: Complete the HSR Program Application
- In order to enroll in a class, the student and/or their parent or legal guardian must submit this form. The parent or legal guardian must "sign" at the bottom in order for the student to be accepted into the program.
- Make sure that the counselor email is accurate or we may not be able to get your course approved.
- Please be sure to use a personal email address like Gmail, iCloud, etc. since your school might block Mt. SAC emails and you won't receive anything from us.
- Your counselor will enter your classes as part of their referral process.
- If you don't know your Mt. SAC ID# or don't have one yet, just leave it blank! If you are a new student, please be sure to complete the SCE Application (Step #2, below) so we can create your Mt. SAC ID#

Step 2: Complete the SCE Application (if you don't have a Mt. SAC ID#)

You will know you are done with the application when you SUBMIT YOUR PIN. You are not done after you verify your email.
We highly recommend that you use either the video or visual guide as the application can be tricky to navigate.
The SCE App requires you to create an initial account, verify the account, sign back in to complete the application, then check your email for a PIN, and then enter the PIN. A good way to know that you are done is that you entered your PIN and clicked "submit"!
While this is a lot of steps, the application is designed this way to ensure that your data is safe.

Helpful Hints:
- Please do NOT use your school email address to create your account as many schools block Mt. SAC emails and you won't be able to complete the application.
- After you create your account, you will then get an email that allows you to sign into the application. When prompted, select the "High School Application" NOT the "General Application".
- You can select any semester where it says "Please choose a term".
- If you get stuck, need help, or don't receive your PIN, please review our guide to completing the application and/or email hsr@mtsac.edu!
Orientation
- Academic Year (Fall-Spring) Students Only: Watch the orientation video before you start class so you know what to expect.
- Summer students will have a live orientation via Zoom on or before their first day of school. Info will be sent out in May.
Check your email!
- You will get a Smartsheet notice letting you know when your application has been processed.
- If you are missing anything, we will email you with instructions.
- The most frequent thing students are missing is the SCE Application. If you don't have a Mt. SAC ID#, please be sure to complete this!
- The email from Mt. SAC Smartsheet may go to your junk mail, so check that folder as well.
