About the EOA and VRE Programs
The Education for Older Adults (EOA) program offers classes for older adults that provide opportunities for personal growth and development, community involvement, and skills for mental and physical well-being. Students enter class with different levels of real world experience as well as a multitude of educational levels, age variances, and life skills.
The Vocational Re-Entry (VRE) program offers courses and certificates for adults returning to the workforce and as a means of supplemental income. Students enroll in these classes to learn vocational skills that they can use to start a new career, start their own business, earn additional income, or to support their community.
Lifelong Learning is a core value of Mt. San Antonio College. The EOA and VRE program course offerings represent the full continuum of education for students in pursuit of long-standing educational goals. Our programs strive to remove barriers while addressing learning styles, special needs, and preferences of older adults.
More than 40 faculty members educate our EOA students. Classes are available oneline and at over 30 off-campus locations (see off-campus locations). There are over 250 classes offered weekly.
These courses are designed for older adults (age 55+ years). However, anyone of any age may enroll.
